The first Central American Solidarity Brigade with Cuba arrived to the island, where it will fulfill this week an intense work agenda, local media announces today.
 
Coming from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador and Panama, the activists will begin their activities tomorrow at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp, located in the western province of Artemisa.

They will participate on January 8 in the reception ceremony for the Caravana de la Libertad (Caravan of Freedom) in Havana, the Cuban News Agency reported.

In addition, tours are planned through the provinces of Artemisa, Havana, Cienfuegos and Villa Clara, in whose capital the brigade will pay tribute to the Argentine-Cuban guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara.

According to the source, they will attend conferences on the Cuban apostle José Martí and will learn about Cuba´s foreign affairs, among other topics.

The Caravan of Freedom advances on the island after leaving the city of Santiago de Cuba days ago with a load of young people who reedit the starring fighters led by Fidel Castro six decades ago.

From the intersection of Libertadores Avenue and Trinidad Street, in Santiago de Cuba, departed the victorious march that will tour Cuban geography began on January 8.
